1. Who we are
Boost Customs Ltd ("Boost Customs", "we", "us", "our") is a vehicle detailing and customisation business based at 34A Viking Road, Brownsburn Industrial Estate, Airdrie, ML6 9SE. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you contact us, request a quote, or use this website, and how we look after it.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, see Contact us below.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and carry out our services. Depending on how you get in touch, this may include:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Details about your vehicle (make, model, registration) and the service you're enquiring about
- Any message or details you choose to include when requesting a quote
- Basic technical information collected automatically by your browser (such as device type and general location) if we use analytics in future
We do not knowingly collect payment card details or other sensitive personal data through this website.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Respond to quote requests and enquiries
- Arrange and carry out bookings for detailing, protection or customisation work
- Keep records for accounting, warranty and legal purposes
- Improve our services and this website
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell your personal data.
4. Our legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — to provide a quote or carry out work you've booked with us
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and keep basic business records
- Legal obligation — to keep financial records as required by law
- Consent — where you've opted in to marketing communications (we do not send marketing emails unless you've agreed to this)
5. Sharing your information
We don't sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited information with trusted third parties who help us run the business, such as:
- The website hosting provider (Netlify), to receive quote-request submissions
- Our accountant or bookkeeper, where required for financial records
- Any supplier whose product carries a manufacturer's warranty (for example, a ceramic coating or wrap supplier), where needed to register that warranty on your behalf
We will only share what's necessary, and we don't permit these third parties to use your data for their own purposes.
6. Cookies & the contact form
This website does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. The quote-request form on this site is handled by our hosting provider, Netlify, and includes a basic spam-prevention check; this does not track you across other websites.
If we add analytics or marketing tools in future (for example, to understand which pages are popular), we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain our business records, and meet our legal and accounting obligations — generally no longer than six years, in line with standard UK record-keeping requirements, unless we're required to keep it for longer.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it
- Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data
- Request that your data be provided in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we're relying on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Keeping your data secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal data we hold from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our services or legal obligations change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
